Wish upon a star
6 hours sleep back to back, then woke suddenly just after 6.....something made me remember I hadnt put the bins out!!! They come earlier so by 6.30 I'd pulled some clothes on amd was creeping around outside, trying to wheel the bins quietly, almost impossible lol!! This is usually a hub job :-/
Made myself a cup of tea and some toast, afterwards then took it back to bed for an hour ;-) Once up I popped out into the back garden to see how things looked now the maple tree has been taken down......very bare looking, will take a bit of getting used to, as it was such a big tree!
Hubs nurse rang me as promised and we fixed up to meet at 11 at the hospital. The roads were pretty busy, just about made it in time. She seems really nice, I could see why hub has taken to her.....she brought some things for me to bring back home, then took hubs nail clippers & file, a newspaper & one of his favourite salted nut & chocolate bars up to him. An hours journey for 5 minutes......I then. tookmmyself off to Maggies Centre for a little while, had a coffee, got chatting to a lady who was there waiting for her husband to have his chemo infusion. One of the staff came and told us that there would be some background music shortly before they draw their Christmas raffle live on their Facebook,page......we assumed a CD or streamed music, that was until this chap started playing Christmas songs on a proper piano..... it was so nice! He was playing "Last Christmas" as I took the photo :-) I ended up staying there for almost two hours!! Hub face timed me whilst I was sat there, showed him the outside gardens. It was a lovely bright sunny morning, he was very envious of me being able to get outside.
As I drove home......it clouded over and started to rain :-/ I called into town to collect the lightbulbs Id ordered, picked up a Costa, took it home and had it with my lunch, fried egg on toast :-)
A few admin type things to sort out during the afternoon. Our ex nextdoor neighbour knocked on to see us, she hadnt realised hub still wasnt home, but it was lovely to see her. She has moved into her own new place, which we will get to visit as soon as we are able.
Cooked griddled sea bass, spicy homemade oven wedges and sweetcorn for my dinner this evening.
Hubs managed without his oxygen for most of today.....so has had a good day. A bit anxious about his stent procedure tomorrow, but he will be ok Im sure.......the drain that was planned for Monday is now Tuesday......its getting awfully tight, just gives us 23/24th to get him home.... I so hope they can get him sorted in time!
It also means that middle son and DiL, who are coming to do the pressie exchange tomorrow, dont get to see him either.....they will have to make do with just me ;-)
Dont think I,will be up,late tonight after my early morning malarky ;-))
Be safe all ......still Tier 3 for us, have to say Im quite glad to be honest!
