Red sandstone cliffs

Today was forecast as a sunny day and after a morning exercise class I met up with a friend for a walk along the beach.  I had planned on walking to Sandy Bay along the beach but the tide wasn't fully out so we climbed up the steps to walk along the coastal footpath.  There were good views from here but we didn't want to get too close to the edge given the recent rainfall.  We made our way along the very muddy pathway to arrive at the caravan site.  From here we walked down to the beach and had a lovely stroll close to the sea with views of the Triassic Red Sandstone cliffs.  By now the tide had gone out further and many people were heading towards us enjoying the views and walking their dogs.  I always like this exposure of the rocks with its small sculpted caves and mineral veins.

As we arrived back in Exmouth the weather started to turn and dark clouds were heading towards us.  We quickly ate our lunch watching the people out paragliding infant of us but not quickly enough as a seagull snatched half my friends sandwich from her.  It was a lovely morning and good to meet up and have a walk by the sea.

Back home I caught up on a local Christmas U3A zoom meeting where people were giving various presentations including a magic show, playing music, showing christmassy AV sequences and a Christmas quiz.  It was very well done and must be welcome for many of the older people who live alone.
