Symbolic

Symbol of the past, of the power of the wind, of traditions changing, of Öland? Or is it only a heap of wood, cleverly put together but no longer useful.

I've blipped about the windmills of Öland before but they are such a typical landmark here and I just love the looks of them. The only time I went out today was to collect some more of that special cheese-cake from here, to fill my needs. On the way I stopped to admire this lonely windmill overlooking the mainland in the far west in the dull weather. Anyway, whatever happens I have plenty of pudding for Christmas next week.
