Upsides

Much better day. Started with office bacon rolls and a meeting where we managed to be creative with budgets in a way that will transform a number of people’s careers, then into series of other conversations that were also interesting and upbeat. Lunchtime discussion that brought excellent news about a new venture that looks set to take flight in the new year. We had a couple of visitors to V and I in the afternoon and once again had chat and laughter about seeing the back of 2020 and plans for the holiday (amidst a sense of doors slamming shut across the country and a likely lockdown through January).
Days like this remind me why I love this job and place...even though days like yesterday push me to feel the opposite.
Closed up the office and headed down to town for a haircut....we decided to go for a slightly different shape and let the natural curls have their way instead of reaching for the straighteners.
A more relaxing evening than others this week....last day tomorrow!
