Nevada de Toluca Volcano

Our last day and evening in Mexico. We spent the first part of the day horseback riding to another monarch sanctuary. Again, the wonderment was beyond words. Then we drove to this volcano and hiked about a half an hour to the rim of the crater. When I took this photograph the light from the heavens was not visible to my eye but appeared in the photo. Perhaps at 12,000 feet elevation we were that close to angels.
