A Seat in the Sun
This morning dawned with a more interesting sky. I had lost sleep worrying about the likelihood of excessive cloud cover (which I would not have minded as long as those clouds brought rain with them!).
At 6.15 am I met up with budding photographers, teenagers named Ricky, Alex and Joe. All three are studying photography at college.. Alex at the Girls' College.
We proceeded to trek up the Wither Hills and ventured much further up the spur towards the ridge at the south boundary than originally planned.
The kids were great company and we all learned a lot from each other. It is amazing how au fait the younger generation is with technology and various gadgets.
This image looks down hill to the water tanks and Lookout in the very far distance. There is a bank of cloud over the sea (Cloudy Bay) to the north-east.
Wellington, our capital city, is over that water under that cloud.... It looks like they were not going to be enjoying the sunshine promised for our side of the waters.
Our "Foto Foray" was such a success that I will be planning more of them, along with those delightful young people in the future.
