Brimham Rocks

The morning wasn't quite as we hoped!  Hereford was put on high alert for floods, similar to those that happened end of 2019 and the start of this year that saw record floods and us cut off. Natural it worried me.  Whilst our property is not at risk,  we do get cut off extremely quickly due to a brook at the bottom of our road, and the Wye at the other end of our road.  We have lots of rivers that feed into the Wye and what happens 'upstream' will affect us and put that with more rain, it caused me concern.  After reading met office / taking a practical approach and reviewing flood alerts and five day flood predictions, we (Chris) decided to sit tight, something that i find hard to do - i hate the thought of not being able to get home.
After a late breakfast off we explored and ended up at Brimham Rocks.

At 2pm today, i got a ping - The Met Office had downgraded the high (red) alert to amber alert.  The Wye will bust its banks but they now feel the levels wont be as high as predicated (5.7).  We can only hope!  We are going to review again on Monday as more heavy rain for Hereford and the same 'upstream' i.e Wales in the next 24 hours.....  We are due to leave Yorkshire Wednesday but if we feel by Monday things are changing rapidly for the worse we will head home.  Its difficult predicting flood water!
Off for a massage soon and then its getting ready for a posh restaurant!
