Hellebore

The sun has made an appearance this morning adding some warmth against the cold wind. This afternoon the clouds returned and the wind felt colder and stronger. Foraging this morning for holly berries and ivy and then I have been putting up Christmas lights outside. The hardest was putting them up in a small(ish) tree at the front requiring tree climbing skills and contortions to squeeze between branches. It is helping us to feel more festive even if we are not going to be able to enjoy the company of visitors. 
The hellebore is just coming into flower, rather shyly hiding its blossoms under the leaves at the top of the plant.
