Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Unusually, today I was up and ready for off and it was still only mid-morning. I had read this week in the local rag about this new graffiti, so wanted to go and see it before it was defaced even more, like the ‘Banksy’ one a year or so ago. They’ve tried to clean it up a bit, but made it worse.(Extra)

We walked back over the Meadows, with a wee stop off at Press Coffee. We went there a week or so ago, and Archie remembered, and tried to drag me quickly past it, but did not succeed.

JR went into town to sort out a mix up in a delivery. I had thoughts about making a start on the upcoming big DIY project, but they were fleeting. So I relaxed with a rugby match on TV, and then I watched a documentary about Jonestown, though it was in two parts, and I hadn’t recorded Part 2, the dramatic climax. Duh!

We had a few callers, too - I met Jordan in the morning (he was out for a jog), then Hamish, Archie’s favourite pal, appeared at the gate with a Christmas card from his mum and dad. Also, Pretzel’s mum popped by with a present, but without Pretzel - she was relaxing in her new house.
