Not something you normally see down here

There I was in the car waiting for Mrs CB when I saw some sparrows pecking around in the shrubbery and on the verge. I managed a few blips and was pleased by the camouflage effect of their colouring. That's it, I thought, blip's in the bag...makes a change from bag in box, anyway.
Then I came home and discovered Lazooligirl had given a masterclass on bird photography, 21 Feb. Oh, no, I thought, I can't compete with this. What to do?
Driving through an affluent residential area in nearby Switzerland, big houses surrounded with high, thick, well trimmed hedges we came to a grinding halt.
Enormous crane and big truck blocking the way.
The jib started to rise to a dizzying height, huge object was attached, engine revved and this enormous generator swung into view to be positioned over the hedge. Driver could see nothing, so was being guided by shouts from inside the garden. I tried a weak 'left hand down a bit' to no discernable effect, must have got lost in translation, I think.
Why did they need a generator, no idea, all I can tell you is that being Switzerland it would be costing a bomb.....
