Tiers Lead To Tears

I’m fortunate to live in a Tier 1 area but I suspect that Cornwalls low ‘new case’ numbers is more to do with the comparable numbers being tested.
We have students arriving home, second home owners coming down, air bnbs operating, day trippers shopping and sports clubs pushing for spectator admittance.
What’s the new ‘normal’ to be, I sometimes find myself wondering what the ‘old’ normal was. There seems to be some kind of lethargy settling over the house as we try to will ourselves getting into the festive spirit, we will get there, just need to make the effort.

Today’s photo is of the Yew tree opposite Killigrew House on the outskirts of Falmouth, more common in churchyards this specs in is a good age. It’s greenery is a splash of colour on these drab days.
