Amaryllis

I have three absolutely wonderful ladies who pre-covid I would meet with about once a month for dinner. We use to work together and now we just get to hang out and talk which is nice. They are all great listeners and have the patience to listen to me bemoan my hardships. Every year around Thanksgiving one of them gives the rest of us an amaryllis plant. I bought my own this year and I'm not sure it will bloom in time for Christmas but I have it. It reminds me of my friends and good times which hopefully will resume this upcoming year. In the mealtime we occasionally catch up on Zoom and I'll get to see all their faces early next week.
