Peaceful Burradoo sky

We are so lucky to live in such a peaceful place.
 
For many people in and around Sydney, though, life isn’t at all peaceful  at the moment. The new Covid cluster in northern Sydney is growing. The numbers are tiny compared with other countries, but we have all seen in Victoria how quickly those numbers can grow if they get away. And the timing, so close to Christmas, is terrible.
 
So we have lockdowns, border closures, and the cancellation of all sorts of Christmas gatherings and celebrations. There are long queues of people waiting to get tested and the trackers and tracers are working flat out, just when they will have been looking forward to a Christmas break.
 
Right now the big question is whether Greater Sydney will be spending Christmas Day under lock down. We feel so sorry for all the people who are having to cancel their Christmas plans.
