Enjoying a warm shower!

It wasn't a bad day, weather-wise; but when it rained, boy did it rain!

However, while I was peering out of the kitchen window looking at the deluge, I was surprised to see one of the local pigeons apparently having a fantastic time.  It would raise one wing into the rain and then the other, have a good preen, then a good shake, and then a little dance (extra photos).

We did also get out on our regular walk around Ardington and Lockinge, but it started clouding over and getting dark very early.  This did mean we were back in time to hear Boris telling us we won't be seeing Child No.1 this Christmas.  They live in south London; but elected to stay put rather than join the mass exodus.

We may not be getting a turkey this year; I don't think they will be doing them small enough.  I guess it is too late to start developing a turkey-halving machine!
