New life

Feeling a bit flat after yesterday’s changes to Christmas plans. We’d been hoping to spend a quiet couple of days with my parents - having not seen them for months. We’d been extra careful with social distancing for the last week in anticipation. While in theory I could drive to York and back for the day, it doesn’t feel wise, so we’re not going to. Looks like  J and I will be eating turkey for a while (at least it will freeze). 

We have booked a cottage for the 4 of us in Northumberland for a break in September - flexible booking but hopefully vaccinations will have an effect by then.

A quick walk around the loop line, and I spotted these catkins.
