In Memoriam Stuart Adamson

On Wednesday 16th December it was 19 years since musician Stuart Adamson sadly took his own life far from his home town of Dunfermline. I took a walk up to see this bench that had been placed in Pittencrieff Park in the town in commemoration of him, some years ago. It’s inscribed with some of the lyrics he wrote in the bands Skids and Big Country. I don’t think any other musician has captured what it was like to grow up in a small town in Scotland in the 70s and 80s as well as Adamson did.
