Green Santa Window, The Old Rectory
Today's shot is an image of the main window of The Old Rectory Pub and Restaurant in the village of Leybourne near West Malling.
I had taken my dad to Leybourne so he could have his Covid-19 vaccine at the local doctors' surgery, as he is now in the over 80's age group - something which he is not too happy about! However, he did not have to queue for too long and he said the injection itself was not painful. I think he was pleased to get it out of the way but he does have to return in three weeks time for the second injection.
It was only when we arrived, the pub is opposite the doctors' surgery (not sure if this is deliberate!), that I remembered that we used to go there as a family back in the 80's and that it had a different name - Chimneys. A typical menu was prawn cocktail, followed by steak and chips and Black Forest Gateau for dessert - 80's heaven!
