Surprise visitors and presents

Mr hazelh and I had a lovely surprise just before lunch: Ridgeback13 and Melissa trotted down our steps with cards and presents for us. I have blipped one of the offerings: homemade florentines - yum yum yum!

Otherwise I took it easy today (not least because I hardly slept last night, stressed out over all our changed Christmas arrangements). I very much enjoyed a happy couple of hours of yardening in the sunshine this afternoon.

We observed the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in the clear sky over the garden this evening.

It's the last episode of His dark materials tonight.
