Blooms & Candy...

This florists and confectioners opened in February and closed in March. It’s has been open again briefly but today it’s closed probably for the foreseeable future. It made a nice bright photo for my Blip today, taken through the car window. We’d stopped to get milk while on our way to deliver the final cards and two more Community Lunch hampers.

Two wonderful Christmas services today. This morning it was the children’s production but watched on the big screen and compiled from about 80 clips sent to Ian and Metsy to download. A huge task. Fewer of us there today as some have decided to return to online participation. Ian did a wonderful take off of Boris, complete with hairdo.

This evening we watched the carol service. Ian used the phrase “can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel” for his talk. The reason being many tunnels are not straight lines and have bends and twists and turns that obscure the light at the other end. Like this year. The carol Oh Little Town of Bethlehem has the verse
...Yet in thy dark street shineth
The everlasting light. .....

I felt brighter today. We had a sisters’ Zoom this evening. Valerie was great. Dreading the biopsies but looking forward to knowing what’s happening and what treatment she will receive. She’s a tonic to us all.

My extra, I dressed one of my dolls for a Christmas gift for a friend, a fellow sewer. I like it! I’ll be sorry to see her go!
