Gooseander - Female.........

.............Feeling a little better so ventured out for a while and very pleased I did. Saw this and managed to get a few shots of her - I think this is the best. No sign of her mate . Apparently they are not uncommon but I have not seen one before. Have looked on the list of birds on blipbigyear and a male one IS on it but not a female so I'm hoping this will be accepted for inclusion - she is quite different from the male!

Weather cold and grey again - 1 deg C.
