Yes, it's the same dog. I took the extra photo on December 17, just before we took Hamish in for his first grooming appointment. We were surprised to see how much of his wavy coat the groomer had to take off, due to matting. He looked much like his first appearance on Blipfoto.

Westies have a double coat -- a short, soft undercoat, and a longer, tougher topcoat made up of guard hairs, which they do not shed.

We need to brush him daily... and find a happy medium between this very short coat and the dust  mop look he's sporting in the extra. My hair looks a bit like his in that photo...
