Went to New York Today

Well not really, but it felt like I did!

It was a fantastic photographic exhibition at The Art Gallery Of Western Australia called "Picturing New York" that we visited today.

It is a collection of photographs from the Museum Of Modern Art of New York from the period 1888 to 2005. this was just one of the really big prints that I could have stared at for hours, there was so much going on in that photo!

There were photos by Weegee, Dianne Arbus and Cindy Sherman just to name a few and many many more! There were so many stunning shots it made my head whirl in a blipping kind of way :)

This is part two of the Great Collections Of The World series, part one was Picasso to Warhol: Fourteen Modern Masters and that one was mind boggling, so good in fact I went three times :)

I love a good exhibition. You might think that Perth would be the last place you would see such top notch stuff but our state government is spending our taxes in the most innovative of ways such as this and I'm not complaining!
