The Whip emerges!

This is the spiral topping on the new St James Centre currently under construction in Edinburgh's eastern city centre.   
A controversial shape which contributed to the arguments around the capital's World Heritage status.
The guy on the top of the column, in the middle of St Andrew's Square is a certain Mr Dundas, of slave trade infamy.  Might he be brought down, I wonder.
