The Saturday shoppers resentfully disdained
Dispiritedly drift on through the showers of rain
Yet spurning I step into the colonnade
Watching whilst the sunlight fades
And I imagine other times and streets
Where heat and sunlight dance
For acts and actors who entreat
Each other with an entrancing glance

a world changed
