Urban log pile

It's bitterly cold today so I've no appetite to do more than find a local detail from a new angle.

This is one of the log piles on the railway embankment opposite my house in the heart of central London. I hadn't observed it this close up before or noticed the brambles. There are urban foxes living nearby.
