neighbours

These gingerbread Bundt wreaths went to neighbours tonight and I very much enjoyed a doorstep gossip with them. Yesterday we received a very generous gift from a previously unknown neighbour, as did every house on our block. We were bowled over by the generosity but mystery abounds as to who she is. Apparently no-one has ever spoken to her. I’ve knocked on to meet and greet but she’s perhaps a bit shy. Bananablips- you’d have been gleeful if you’d listened in tonight, it really made me think of your antics spying on campsite beighbours - salacious and entirely ridiculous tales.

Gratefuls:

1. A generous stranger;
2. The shame of being demoted to the slow lane at the pool when the medium lane was full of very fast men. I may have had a heart attack if it weren’t for the lifeguard taking pity;
3. Candles.
