The end of the shortest day

We finally got a glimpse of the Sun just as it was setting. I consulted my astronomy and celestial navigation charts, grabbed my camera and zoomed off to the Stearns Reservoir gate house. I managed to get there just in time and stood knee deep in the snow just in front of the very welcoming No Trespassing sign to get you this shot.

Another snow photo just in case anyone is missing that festive feeling.

Back at home the ice is starting to build up on some gutters and we have an impressive icicle display. Weather is warming and it looks like a rainy Chrimbo here. 4 sleeps to the big Ho ho.
