The clock in the Musée d'Orsay

It was apparently inspiration for the one in the film Hugo (which I got for Christmas and really enjoyed).

Busy day. We started off with pastries from the bakery before heading up the Arc de Triomphe and then off down the Champs Elysée (seems to be my regular route to take visitors as it means they see lots of the sites). By the time we got to Concorde we were freezing and getting hungry again so we headed to a patisserie/café that Mairead had recommended.Really good hot chocolates and lots of delicious food on offer (lunch as well as sweet things). I settled for a Millefeuille though which was good though the top was icingless.

Headed to the Musée d'Orsay for the rest of the afternoon/evening as it was too cold to stay outside for very long. It was quite interesting, though full of naked statues/paintings. Holly and I decided we quite liked Sisley, though unsure how to pronounce his name.

Made dinner at home and had a lazy evening with a film. Really nice to be able to catch up and show someone else round where I now live.
