Solstice Blue Dawn
I was very interested to learn, on this day, that the word solstice comes from two Latin words: sol (sun) and sistere (to stand still). On the solstice, the sun seems to stand still. The seasonal movement of its path pauses at its northern or southern limit before reversing direction.
For us, the solstice arrived on a blue dawn, wrapped in a really lovely and ethereal mist. And for just a second, there was a pause. And we stopped - the whole world stopped and was silent - under the blue mist, and time stood still.
The song: the U.S. Army Band Pershing's Own, with Time Stand Still.
