Rant

Bit of a rant, this. Given the fact that everyone accepts the education of young people is of the utmost importance, and given the advances in print and electronic publication technology in recent years, why are kids who struggle with reading given this kind of outdated and quite frankly dull, static text to practice with? Is it a surprise that it doesn't really work?
