A bit of light "relief" during the Seige of Ladysmith.(excuse the pun)

My wife's maternal grandfather was a Sergeant-Farrier with the Royal Artillery unit in the town at the time of the seige, 2 Nov 1899 to 28 Feb 1900, and saddled up this young foal and posed for a local photographer.
