Dragon Fruit and Magic potion!
When we took our grand kids out to lunch last Tuesday the fantasy was that they were eating Dragon Goujons. Ann found this Dragon fruit when she went to the supermarket - it was alsored, so she brought it home for me to photograph. Now it wasn't very interesting on it's own so I played with a few compositions. I did like the whizzy liquid in the glass but the white/ grey background didn't inspire so I tried adding a textured background again over the top ... and I quite like it now. Not I think a suitable image for a competition entry but I've had fun and learnt a few things along the way.
I also have taken a few more flower photos which have come out well (I might post one or two later). I suspect the answer is to buy some red flowers as I'm not getting very far with the fruit!
Oh and I've almost selected my images for the next club competition, which is Mono many thanks to DorisorDwagon for her suggestions and also to Brian our most experienced club photographer.
I've sorted some of my printmaking images into folders of certain categories and reminded myself where I got to and I've drawn the Lily today (my new resolution is to draw daily).
It's been so cold again today we now have a light covering of snow.
