Last Visit to the Museum (for a while)
Strolled along the canal to The National Museum of Scotland. We had a lovely time and enjoyed our favourite exhibits of the animals, people of the world and astronomy and the Earth. It took us back to when 'M' was a child and we visited every week.
We managed a lovely coffee on the way back bought from a canal boat, but the town was so quiet! The Grassmarket normally so busy at this time of year was just about empty, and everything closed just about.
I thought I would blip a picture of the main hall at the museum, but I thought this Carp Vessel was so beautiful that I wanted to share it. So here it is, made in SW Japan in white clay, finely painted in cobalt with applied moulded decorations-made 1820 to 1840.
Enjoy your evening.
