I could hear

a wren somewhere further out… so I ran my eyes across the tall grass and instead of seeing a wren I saw two big eyes through the grass staring at me …and there we stood staring at each other..a bit later he turned , took a few steps and just disappears in the high grass ..

I was happy to see a deer because it has been awhile since the last time I have seen one of them
