Christmas Holidays Day 1

No Scotch Corner hotel this year, usually a cocktail there kicks of the holidays. It doesn’t feel the same being here, especially now two of the cottage rooms are our ‘workplace’ . There is no getting away it all.

We got an abrupt cancellation email from the hotel we hoped to escape to in ‘twixmas’ within an hour of both them and us being put into the dreaded Tier4.
C’est la vie!

To cheer me up S. took me a drive around the area to look at the Christmas lights as our big Christmas outing of the hols!!

Discovered this morning that making mince pies is more difficult than anticipated. These wouldn’t make round 2 of bake off but they taste ok!
