Sunset over the Kyles of Bute

We were driving home from Colintraive, where we'd had the most glorious walk along a bit of coast road we'd never walked, when I caught sight of this view down a dip in the hillside. I don't know that I've ever stopped to look at the Kyles from this side of Loch Riddon, but it was so striking that we stopped and reversed to a lay-by so that I could hop out an take some pics. I think this is the best of them - I was hard pushed to make up my mind. The others will be on flickr.

We saw several herons, flying and standing, and a superb cormorant taking off from the side of the loch.
