There was a brief break in the weather this morning so I laced up my running shoes and headed on a wee trip down memory lane. It must be 30 years since I last went up the old railway line which used to be a regular haunt as kids.

The rain has been torrential and the wind howling, we're up high but know there'll be plenty of flooding roundabout.

No surprise on this afternoon's announcement that places most of England in Tier 4 from Boxing Day, along with Scotland. Devon seems to be one of the few places (so far) remaining in Tier 2. Still waiting to hear what the stricter Tier 4 measures will be in Scotland, and also checking the airport situation before booking my return. To be fair, with the situation here, I'm in no mad rush to return just yet.
