As We Feared

The campaign to return to ‘grassroots’ rugby has been a long one. Clubs everywhere have given undertakings to their members and governing bodies that they would “make it as safe as it can be”.
So Josh was a match official at a local game today, our club wasn’t involved but I drove him and watched, what an eye opener.
Track & Trace not enforced
Social distancing not enforced
Hardly a mask on show, not even when entering or leaving the clubhouse.
Alcohol on sale to take pitchside.
Players forming an ‘applause tunnel’ at the end of the match despite an RFU directive not to do so.

We are currently in Tier 1 but I feel it’s only a matter of time until that’s reviewed and we move up.
Just a matter of when and to what Tier.
