Ocean in a wineglass

My friend Mario owns a photo studio and he is kind enough to let me use it. This Sunday was my second time in the studio and I invited Morten, fellow photographer and enthusiast to come along. Our knowledge about studio photography is close to zero and we just wanted to try different setups and maybe learn in the process.

If we would have done some research we would have known that studio flashes are too slow for high speed photography. We packed a big sports bag full of stuff we wanted to take photos of ... all high speed photography, but ... as I said too slow flashes.

We learnt a lot that day and yesterday I was online reading about high speed photography and studio setups. Live and learn :)

I've taken this sort of picture before @ my "home studio" but I wanted to try the setup in a real studio. The result is quite different. It reminds me of an ocean wave and I like the blue shadow!
