Underbelly

Underbelly

A tree really isn’t the sum of what you can see. The roots stretch out way underground often far, far wider than the canopy of the trees branches. The roots feed the tree, storing nutrients for a long winter and also anchoring the tree against those winter storms.

Trees are a life giver to our planet too, absorbing carbon dioxide, breathing out oxygen and, yes and, being crucial for our the health of the land.

So it’s no wonder that I’ve photographed trees more than anything else here on blip.

This tree is in our back garden. It’s 140+ years old and is the wearer of a proud new haircut! It stores a family of bees and has a row of offspring ashes behind it.

A very happy Christmas to all my blip pals. Thank you for dropping by. I really do appreciate your views, stars, comments and general care.

Blipfoto. Never more treasured than in 2020.

Anyhow must go now and prepare the house for Santa’s arrival.

A X
