Toy shop nostalgia
Long ago when our sons were small boys we would sometimes visit Hamleys world famous toy shop on Regent Street in London.
The window displays were amazing and no doubt very expensive to create.
Today’s Blip may remind you of a simpler age. A time when a Kite or a model plane was all that little people could ever want. Computer games were still way in the future.
This charming mural is hanging in the window of temporarily empty restaurant on Arnside Promenade. I could not see an artist’s name so I cannot give acknowledgement. I found it a delight to the eye.
I have now heard from the President of the BSBI and she confirms that yesterday’s plant was Euphorbia characias subspecies wulfenii, sometimes called the Tasmanian Tiger.
A number of you were right or nearly right. Well done.
