Christmas Eve Treat
The early morning Thursday walking ladies (and the occasional man) walked later today to coincide with the opening of the Ivy Kitchen.
Here we are waiting for our orders which you then have to take across to the picnic area. Three of us had ordered butties and went across to the frosted tables with them. I had bacon, N sausage and egg and Wilsden Walker (inset) had all three and was wondering if she had got too much! Buster was waiting to see if she dropped any!
A great start to Christmas Eve, with sun and firmed up frosty ground but also a touch of black ice in places.
Back home I cooked the ham and made some bread sauce for tomorrow. Did a bit of cleaning and set the table. Not much else to do now so we can relax until going out for the midnight service.
Eda had a huge surprise this morning. The man himself made an early visit, gobsmacked is the word Grace used for her reaction! He came early, apparently, because Eda is such a good big sister. ( She would have missed this had they come to us as planned.!)
Have a lovely Christmas everyone.
