Not The Lake District

Not the lake district, but Northamptonshire where several areas are flooded up to a metre and a half deep and residents have been evacuated. The River Nene in this pic has burst its banks taking over fields and coming close to flowing over the A428 road bridge.

On the plus side, some sunshine today though temperatures have been chilly, maximum 3C. Overnight temperatures will fall below freezing so it will be an icy start to Christmas Day tomorrow.
