In and out of a very empty Tescos in an hour this morning, about 20 minutes of which was looking for cocktail sticks.

Followed by cleaning and food prep mostly, before opening the mulled wine.

Today will be the first Christmas eve I've not been to the pub for around 35 years. There's no guarantee I won't still have a hangover tomorrow and I'm still planning a trashy tea but it's definitely a bit different.

I hope everyone is having an OK time and managing to do some of the things you wanted to do. It's only one day. And this year has only been one year out of the many we have.
