Festive??

I'm not quite sure how I got this weird effect, but I rather like it. Does it qualify for NaturesBaubles, Arachne? They looked less festive in real life.

It was another cold, grey day. We have been pretty lackadaisical about getting into the holiday spirit. However, I've put up a wreath and was even motivated enough to tidy up the mess on and around the coffee table, sweep the floor, and clean the kitchen properly. 

After reflection we decided against any fancy Christmas meal today, and ate leftovers for lunch again. We are out for lunch tomorrow, and we'll have the beef I bought yesterday on Boxing Day. Luckily we have plenty of food, because as of yesterday the shop in the village is closed till 2021. Of course they need a holiday, but it seems a bit extreme!

As for the Br*xit deal, I'm just relieved there is one. I am not paying any attention to Johnson's pack of lies about what an amazing win it is for Britain. The best that can be said for it is that it's better than nothing. And now I'm off to spend the evening by the fire with wine and tapas.
