Last night finally felt festive, as my neighbours and I met and sang safely in the street, thanks to an organised visit from the Boys Brigade Brass Band.

I’ve also been chuffed to bits getting home made gifts from friends recently, like venison pies, quince jelly, bramble gin, a reclaimed wood star, bottle light decorations, and even a bird feeding station! At the end of a truly pish year, thoughtful kindness shines through.
