RIP IRIS

Heard this afternoon that Iris Heddle died last night in the Hamnavoe Care home which overlooks Stromness harbour. She had been sore poorly for a couple of years - I last saw her last Christmas in the Balfour hospital, Kirkwall...

Iris was married to Ian Magnus aka "The Great Ork" - she was funky & quirky  & a terrific watercolourist,  here she's in the Mouse house - it's Boxing Day 2014 after  roast leg of lamb. - she's looking mildly peeved at having her photo stolen by yours truly...

Sad I won't be able to see her off normally.
