Cake

I snapped this quickly this morning! Iced in haste yesterday, and snapped in haste so I could cut slices to wrap up for the ‘meals on wheels’ to both sons. 

Up at5 to put the turkey in the oven, cooked, rested and carved by 12! The journey wasn’t as bad as feared, although it was weird seeing so many lorries everywhere! On our lanes and villages route we zig zagged over the motorway, and despite the ports being open now, the backlog is going to take several days to clear. I can’t help feeling sorry for all those drivers! 

James feeling better than yesterday, and his home test is showing negative although he is still coughing and can’t taste anything. Mollie is still totally asymptomatic thankfully. Their mum is coming round in the morning for present opening, in her work PPE!
