Beaver traces

Some weeks ago I spotted a big tree, with traces of a beaver. D. planned to go visit the tree too to see how powerful beavers are.
Today I passed the same spot again and now three trees were felled. So D. was too late.
I find it imposing how big the trees are that beavers can fell. Some might not like it how the trees have to disappear in order that the beavers have food. And the farmers don't like the caves they build, because their tractors might (and do) break into the earth.
But for me this is pure nature. And I like and support it.
