Blessings

We are spending tonight at the kids’ house.
They cooked a beautiful turkey. We ate way too much. We face timed with the others in Portland.
We are blessed and oh so grateful. Yet there is so much sadness and loneliness around us this year. Families separated due to the virus as well as other illnesses and traumas. My heart breaks even as I am so grateful we be together. Right now we are sitting here listening to our son’s nightly devotional with the children. His focus on Jesus brings tears.
